Price lists
Our prices include the following: all taxes: (18% I.V.A.), airport taxes and parking fees. Prices also include one additional driver (only one extra driver per contract), unlimited kilometres and there is no extra cost for cancelations.
Airport service
The place of collection of your car will appear on your booking confirmation. At the airports there is the possibility of collecting your car during the night (between 23.00 and 07.00), the cost of this service will be specified on your booking confirmation.
Office collections
Collection and drop-off times of cars at either of our offices will be arranged beforehand according to the office opening hours.
Fuel
The price of fuel is not included in the rental price. The vehicle will be delivered to the client with a full tank of diesel or petrol, which should be paid for when the car is collected. We will refund no money for any fuel left in the tank at the end of the rental, as the car should be returned with the minimum amount left in the tank.
Documentation and forms of payment
To be able to complete the rental agreement it is essential that you have with you your passport or D.N.I. and driving licence*. Also you must have a valid credit card (Visa or MasterCard). Payment can be made using either of these cards or by cash.
*Minimum age for renting a car is 25 years and with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
Extras
With your rental car you can also rent baby-seats, boosters and sat-nav systems. The child seats we have available are for children from the age of 9 months to 2 years old and booster seats for children from 2 to 13 years old (employees of Aqua-car are not allowed to install these seats under any circumstances).
Breakdowns, accidents and traffic fines
In the case of a fine being placed on the car during the rental period, the customer is the only person responsible for it. In the case of an accident or breakdown please follow the instructions on the back of the contract and the information that you will find in the glove compartment.
Aqua-car has a 24 hour a day recovery service included in the insurance policy.
Compulsory Insurance for Automobiles
Included in the rental price is the Compulsory Insurance by law for the car as well as the additional Civil Responsibility Insurance for damages caused to third-parties during the use of the car on the road.
These covers are guaranteed and provided by the insurance company that the Rental Company has contracted for the insurance policy in question subject to the specific clauses, general terms and conditions of the policy and by Spanish law.
By signing the contract the customer agrees to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.
This policy doesn’t cover damage, loss or any other damage that may occur to your luggage and/or personal goods that are being transported in the car. Damages that occur to the car caused to the car by theft and/or vandalism and/or by a traffic accident aren’t covered either.
This insurance policy implies that the customer is the sole person responsible for damages caused to the car in case of collision, theft and/or acts of vandalism. This implies a retention /charge to the customer’s credit-card with an excess which acts as a guarantee, in relation to the car group that has been rented.

Optional Insurance
We have available an optional insurance that includes:
Collision damage waiver (CDW), without excess.
Theft damage waiver (THW), without excess.
Insurance for damage to windows and windscreens, without excess.
The optional insurance has and additional cost per day and also a maximum cost per rental, as indicated below:

Collision Insurance (CDW, Collision Damage Waiver)
Exemption of responsibility for damages caused to the car in case of accident.
The CDW is an optional service offered directly from the rental company to the client through means of a contract to waive any costs to repair damages to the rental car caused by traffic accidents, excluding acts of vandalism.
By not paying for the CDW, the contract-holder assumes the responsibility to pay for the damages caused to the vehicle and the compensation for the immobilisation of the vehicle.
The CDW is only applicable if the customer fills in the accident agreement form correctly, in which all the details of the drivers and vehicles that have been involved in the accident must clearly appear, also the conditions and circumstances of how the accident actually happened.
THW (Theft damage waiver)
Exemption of responsibility for damages and costs caused to the car in case of being stolen and/or parts from the car. Cover includes damage caused by acts of vandalism.
The THW is an optional service offered directly from the rental company to the client through means of a contract to waive any costs to repair damages to the rental car caused by theft and total theft including acts of vandalism.
By not paying for the THW, the contract-holder assumes the responsibility to pay for the damages caused to the vehicle and the compensation for the immobilisation of the vehicle.
The THW is only applicable if the customer returns the keys of the car to the rental company (the key that was handed over when making the rental agreement) without manipulation of any kind and/or the original denuncia (police report) made at the corresponding police / Guardia Civil station.
CDW and THW exemptions, not included in the optional insurance:
Specifications
The CDW does not cover, in any case, damages caused to the vehicle, whatever its category or group, when there is a collision or accident involving hitting a tree, tunnel walls, bridges, garage walls and doors, or any other stationary object hit by incorrect or negligent driving by the customer.
The CDW does not cover, in any case, damages caused to the vehicle, what ever its category or group, if the vehicle is driven over-loaded or over the weight limit allowed by law as determined on the log book of the car. Driving on sand, off-road trails, forest/mountain paths, mountains, etc… or any un-paved surface or any un-authorized roads.
Damage caused by hitting stones or rocks or pot-holes in the roads. Damage caused to wheels and tyres if curves are hit while parking.
Damage to the vehicle caused by adverse weather conditions, with no exceptions, such as floods and rain water. When the car has been parked off the road and/or in a dry river bed and has been damaged by water and/or any area that is not specifically designed to be a car parking area.
The CDW and THW cover will not apply in cases where the costs to repair the damage and/or partial theft are the same or less as the amount of the excess established in the price tariff of each car group, in this case must be paid by the customer and the limit to pay will be the amount of the excess.
The CDW and THW cover will not apply in cases where the customer doesn’t present the necessary documents (denuncia and/or accident form) correctly filled in and presented to Aqua-car within a maximum time limit of 48 hours after the incident has occurred.
The CDW and THW cover will not apply in cases where luggage and/or personal belongings, belonging to the contract holder or any other occupant, are stolen, broken or damaged while being transported or while being stored in the rental car.
When, according to the terms and conditions here stated, the exceptions of the CDW and the THW do not apply, the customer is responsible to pay for all the repairs made to the car, as well as for a compensation for having the car immobilised. The rental fees cover the losses and damages to the car caused by spontaneous fire, as long as it is not the consequence of a traffic accident or the total / partial theft or acts of vandalism of the car, in which case the present article will apply.
What doesn’t the insurance cover, even the extra cover?
Damage to the under-side(*) of the car.
Damages and breakages to the interior trim of the vehicle.
Damages to tyres and wheels
Damages caused to the car or third parties for negligence or dangerous driving
Costs occurred by filling the car with the wrong fuel.
Loss or damage to the key and/or remote control fob.
If the car is stolen with the car-key left in the ignition.
Personal objects left in the interior of the car.
Damages or other situations caused by driving under the affects and/or drugs.
(*)Under-side of the car: These are the parts of vehicle classed as the “under-side”:
On both sides of the car: Side sills beneath the doors.
On the front of the car: The area and valance below the front bumper.
On the rear of the car: The area and valance below the rear bumper.
On the underneath of the vehicle (non-visible): All mechanical parts and protective covers of the engine, etc.. that are situated under part of the car.
Driving restrictions
It is totally prohibited to drive the rental car outside of Spain (it is also prohibited to transport the car to Ceuta, Melilla, The Balearic Islands and the Canary Islands).
It is also totally prohibited to transport animals and/or goods that can cause damage and/or stain the interior of the car.
